If you’re in the market for a WordPress theme that’s responsive and shows off your creative side then you may want to check out “Secundo”, a responsive portfolio-like WP template just released over at ThemeForest. After taking a look at it I would recommend this theme to any creative person – designer, photographer, videographer etc. There are a few nice touches here that I think are worth noting.
Secundo is Responsive
Oh so important these days. To the left is what it looks like when viewed on a mobile phone. Notice how the tagline prominently appears underneath the image slider. There’s also a little tab on the top right that enables the visitor to click, then navigate the main menu in an intuitive manner. There’s nothing worse than having to navigate a menu that’s built for desktop viewing when you’re on your mobile device. Although most responsive themes will use a full horizontal bar across the top Secundo opts to have a smaller button, allowing for a wider company logo if needed. Another thing to consider is how the theme would look on a tablet device. Since this theme caters to creative types there’s a good chance that your clients will be viewing it on an iPad, optimal for seeing retina-ready pictures.

Slightly disappointing that the navigation resorts to folding into the little button on the left just like it does on the phone but it still looks good.
Other Features of Secundo
Secundo also features of bevy of shortcodes (53 to be exact). Included is a shortcode generator that lets you make your own interactive and design elements that you can easily insert into any page/post. Also, the entire theme is based on Twitter’s bootstrap framework, which is steadily becoming the framework of choice for many websites and mobile applications.
We would heavily recommend Secundo to any designer who wants their work to speak for itself.
